AA Travel Guides AA Travel Guides is the largest online accommodation and travel database in South Africa for accommodation ranging from luxury hotels to B & B's, guest houses, hotels, self catering chalets and apartments, lodges, game and nature reserves, caravan and camping throughout South Africa   Focus managed the scanning, automated extraction and manual capture of all Guest Critique Forms. Tick box information were automatically extracted as well as establishment codes and internal codes on the documents. Handwritten comments and guest particulars were manually captured to ensure accuracy. Extracted data were presented in MS Excel format to assist AA Travel Guides in calculating the establishment' scores. Processed in excess of 40,000 images

Imfundo

Imfundo is a division within Advtech that delivers adult based skills training and development within the National Skills Development Strategy.

   Focus redesigned the A4 (duplex) exam answer sheets together with Imfundo to improve the data extraction accuracy. Focus performed the scanning, extraction, validation and correcting of information of approximately 2,430 exam sheets.
